The Fraser Fir is America’s most loved Christmas tree. It's a beautiful non-drop tree with excellent needle retention. The Fraser Fir is a slim Christmas tree, ideal if you want a tall Christmas tree but you're tight on space. Its branches are plentiful and dense, with an average width of 40-50% of their height, so you will still get that full Christmas tree look. Read more about the Fraser Fir here.
Appearance
The Fraser fir is a dense, conical tree. It has strong bushy branches which grow in tiers that become progressively larger towards the bottom. It is similar to the more common Nordmann Fir, but slimmer and slightly more fragrant.
Look, feel and smell
The needles are a deep dark green, and very soft compared to their spikey spruce counterparts. The top of the needles have a waxy coat, which makes them appear glossy and feel soft, as well as make them better for those with allergies. A great option for those with children and pets. In terms of scent, the Fraser Fir produces subtle fresh, clean smell which is a stronger scent than the Nordmann Fir, but not quite as strong as the Norway Spruce.
Needle retention
Even after the Christmas tree dries out, Fraser Firs will try to hold onto most of their needles. They also stand up to heat a lot better than their spruce counterparts. A perfect option for you if you want a low maintenance Christmas tree to keep in a warm and toasty home.

Care
To keep your Christmas tree looking as fresh as possible throughout the festive season we recommend the following:
-
- Keep your Christmas tree as cool as possible for as long as possible. While Fraser Firs handle the heat a lot better than Spruces, they will still fare better in the cold than by a roaring fire.
- Keep your Christmas tree watered. The roots might be gone, but your Christmas tree can still absorb some water through its trunk. This can be hampered if your Christmas tree has formed a sappy seal where it has been cut, so bonus points for sawing a layer of the bottom of the tree before placing it into your water holding stand.
What next
Don't forget you can also add on your sparkly Christmas tree lights, water holding Christmas tree stands and collection for your Christmas trees as part of your order.
