LAY THE CHRISTMAS TREE ON ITS SIDE
To avoid the tree falling over in the process of unpackaging we recommend that you unwrap the Christmas tree with it safely laid on the floor, not standing.

ATTACH YOUR STAND
Before you release your tree from its netting we recommend you secure it in its stand as this will become more difficult with the branches at full reach. For this job we recommend using two people. Place your stand in the desired location, then using two people drop the tree vertically into the stand. While one person supports and holds the tree straight the other can secure the clamps.

ONLY USE WATER
In our experience plain tap water is the best. Expect your Christmas tree to drink a lot of water in the first 36 hours, anywhere up to 5 litres. After that make sure you add water daily.

AVOID DIRECT SUNLIGHT AND REMOVE ARTIFICIAL OR DIRECT HEAT
Try to avoid placing your Christmas tree in direct sunlight e.g. in a window or directly under a roof light. It's important to turn off any radiators or heaters in close proximity to your Christmas tree and keep it away from any direct flames.

PRUNE TO SHAPE
We've selected our trees for their natural beauty but if perfect symmetry is more your style then light pruning is advised. Please allow 24hours for the branches of your trees to settle into position before you make any adjustments.
